WHERE WOMEN AND THE ENVIRONMENT FLOURISH

Women’s Agri-Enviro Vision (WAEV) is a non-profit organization in the Arusha region of Tanzania that works with women in marginalised communities.

We empower women through economic opportunities,
education, and environmental conservation initiatives.

Improving the livelihoods of Tanzanian women in marginalised communities through economic empowerment, education and environmental health.

Our Programs

Women’s Economic Empowerment

By providing microloans, business training, water tanks and nutritional food sources, WAEV enables women to obtain greater social and economic autonomy in their communities, while also bolstering their physical health.

Environmental Conservation

WAEV works to mobilize and train women and families to plant trees at their homesteads, bare lands and local schools. Trees produce firewood for cooking, timber for construction, and fruit to boost nutrition and generate income. These trees also reduce soil erosion, improve soil fertility and restore the natural ecosystems.

Maji ni Uhai (Water is Life)

We work to combat inadequate access to clean water in our women’s groups by providing water tanks and the knowledge on how to collect it. We strive to provide our beneficiaries with all the necessary resources they need to succeed, and water is of the utmost importance.
